Delta confirmed they will continue to operate next winter's schedule to both Tokyo and Amsterdam from Portland! This is tremendous news for the Oregon and Southwestern Washington region. The Port of Portland would like to thank everyone on the IASC for their support and contribution to this common goal we share of retaining nonstop transoceanic service from PDX.
As you may know, the Senate passed the FAA Reauthorization bill March 22, 2010 with a 93-0 vote. Click here for the just released press release. Thank you for all your hard work. We will now turn out attention to the House and Senate Conference to ensure the final language sent to the President reflects our interests.

Port of Portland is happy to announce a new Portland to Toronto flight beginning June 17, 2010. This will be daily year-round service operated by Air Canada. This brings Air Canada’s transborder service from PDX to 3 destinations: Vancouver/YVR; Calgary/YYC; and now Toronto/YYZ. Canada is Oregon’s #1 trading partner and the Mayor’s office recently launched an Oregon-Canada team which is focused on expanding trade ties between Canada and the Pacific Northwest region. This new service will help in that effort as it provides PDX traveler’s with improved access to Toronto which is Air Canada’s primary hub and a strong origin and destination market for PDX. NBTA members have been interviewed and quoted on CBS Nightly News, CNN, Fox News, USA Today, NPR and the Wall Street Journal. The press release and work below is one of the reasons!
